2700 international entries for design in motion exhibition at Amsterdam Central

[AMSTERDAM] - The first edition of Design in Motion (DEMO) takes place on Thursday 7 November 2019: The best motion design work from around the world can be seen on all 80 digital screens at Amsterdam Central Station for 24 hours. The organization received more than 2,700 entries from international and national designers, studios, young talents and art academies.

The curators of DEMO have made a final selection of 400 entries that can be seen as the best international motion design work. In a constantly changing programming, this final selection is broadcast on all screens. The three curators are Liza Enebeis (creative director of Studio Dumbar), Koos Breen (interdisciplinary designer) and Xavier Monney (motion designer).

The open call for sending in motion design has received a lot of interest worldwide. Work has been submitted by well-known and unknown designers from, among others, European countries, the United States, Chile, Armenia, South Korea, Finland, Japan and Australia.

DEMO takes place in the middle of the public space: on all 80 digital screens at Amsterdam Central Station and the 4 video walls. No advertisements are shown on November 7; only leading motion design. The exhibition is an initiative of Studio Dumbar (part of Dept) in collaboration with Exterion Media NL.
