The Fraud Help Desk will start a campaign against fake advertisements on Monday, July 20, in which the name of well-known Dutch people is misused. This campaign is supported by the AFM and Facebook. People are tempted to invest, often in cryptocurrencies, via the fake advertisements on the internet. Almost 2 million euros in damage was reported this year alone.
