Detailhandel Nederland has become industry partner of the Shopping Awards. The Shopping Awards Foundation annually presents various awards to the best (web) shopping companies in the Netherlands. With the presentation of the Shopping Awards, a positive contribution is made to e-commerce - selling products and / or services online to consumers, at home, at work, on the road, in the shopping street or online in the store. The design has been changed this year. Consumers and subject matter experts will determine the winners of the Shopping Awards 2020 this year. On Thursday 26 March 2020, the Shopping Awards will be presented for the 19th time.
Realization of the result
In the month of February, consumers can vote for web stores and they are asked to rate web stores with a rating. For 50%, the votes and assessments of consumers determine who will win the Shopping Awards in 10 categories. In addition, subject matter experts for the other 50% determine who will be the winners of the Shopping Awards. In February, they are asked to assess five online stores in five different categories based on five questions.
The aim of the renewal is to make the Shopping Awards more transparent, fairer and therefore better through the Song festival model and Wisdom of the Crowd principle. This makes the Shopping Awards accessible to everyone and gives every web store a fair chance to win a Shopping Award.
Of course everyone participates to win! For each participant there is also a free report after the presentation that shows the scores (of both consumers and subject matter experts) compared to the benchmark.
Nothing stands in the way of web shops to participate and to have the web shop assessed by consumers and experts. You can still register until January 31, at the beginning of March the nominations will be announced and on March 26 the winners will be announced during the Shopping Awards gala at Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk aan Zee.
