An app for the smartphone is especially useful for fast travel, so not for everyone. I made this with the free version of InstaQuote (fairly limited). About is only for Apple. Instagram is also useful for decorating a photo.

Prefer to add text to a photo behind the PC? The free version of Picmonkey is pretty handy. You add different fonts and standard images. Works especially well with photos of people and making invitations and postcards. Easy to download afterwards. You can easily blur a photo with Fotor Photo. (I also blurred the background photo on bloeise.nl)

Google Image Search
Searching for images in Google has since January 2014 enriched with a handy tool: search by usage license. There are, however, 2 drawbacks: few relevant photos and many are only available if you mention the source. (all photos by Flickr have CC with attribution). Especially useful for general, generic topics, such as social media.
